Birmingham should pick up 3 points today against rock bottom Ipswich despite Mick McCarthy's arrival in East Anglia. The win potentially taking Lee Clarks men in to the top half of the table.
Aston Villa vs Sunderland sees two teams both struggling for wins this season face off, surely a bore draw is on the cards here.
Wolves take the trip to Burnley and will be very aware that they can not risk many more slip ups in the league if they want to keep in contention for an automatic promotion spot.
FA Cup season starts for our two remaining Midlands based teams, Coventry and Walsall and both will be hoping they can overcome there opponents today.

Birmingham will lose today Ipswich will be well up for the the game, new manager syndrome.
100% agree about us though Lambert is struggling and if he doesn't get his act together soon must go. You can not alienate a striker of the pedigree of Bent.

Ipswich are bottom of there league for a reason though. McCarthy has a huge job there I don't think he will be able to rely on the new manager bounce there appalling.
Dropping Bent was brave in my opinion although I would rather him play him alongside Benteke for a run of games. There could be a really good partnership there.

Bent nowhere to be seen today is the big news. Nice to see Weiman start though and Westwood getting his first start will be interesting.

Lambert once again making a mess of the Bent situation does he want to relegate us.

Sunderland 0-1 Aston Villa Fletcher (offside) goal (safc) Agbonlahor (avfc)
A fantastic win for us and one we definitely needed with the big games coming up. Lambert got his team selection bang on I thought. The midfield trio of Westwood, Bannan and Ireland actually helped us too keep possession
Birmingham 0-1 Ipswich DJ Campbel (itfc)
Shocking result here and the pressure must be building ever higher on Clarke now but I think they'll come good mid-table is probably where they should be at the minute. That may change with some investment with the takeover.
Burnley 2-0 Wolves Paterson (bfc) Austin (bfc)
Like Blues this was a game Wolves should win and they need to do alot better than this poor performance. Is Stolkabann upto the task in this country, in not sure.
Coventry 3-0 Arlesey (FA Cup)
Coventry do as expected and got a very comfortable win to put them in the next round.
Lincoln City 1-1 Walsall (FA Cup) Bowerman(wfc)
Walsall may feel that they should of gone through to the next round but an away tie is always difficult and they should easily win the return leg. Bowerman I think will be looking at a move up a league in January.

He has to go losing 1-0 isn't usually a catastrophe but we did not look like scoring against a poor Ipswich. He has lost the dressing room, if he had any respect for us fans he would walk and walk now.
